On December 11, 2019, Justice Forward Virginia held a “Pep Rally” at Clare & Don’s Beach Shack in Falls, Church, Virginia. The event was well attended by fellow lawyers in the community, Justice Forward Virginia Leadership & Friends, and several state representatives. They were:
- Sen. Scott Surovell
- Del. Marcus Simon
- Sen. Barbara Favola
- De.. Patrick Hope
- Del. Jennifer Carroll Foy
These elected officials help set the stage for important Criminal Justice Reform efforts they will be making down in Richmond. And I urge everyone to check out their plans, as they are huge supporters of CJR.
We also had the opportunity to hear Justice Forward’s plans and goals for the 2020 General Assembly Session, to include a Lobby Day on January 17, 2020. Lobby Day a wonderful event where we get the opportunity to sit down with leaders across the Commonwealth and discuss Criminal Justice Reform in a meaningful, tangible manner.
